Christmas is nearly here and I need your help!

Yes, Christmas is almost here! Time to sing carols, wrap gifts, bake delicious treats, spend time with family and friends, and celebrate His blessed birth! With only a few more days, til that wonderful holiday I wanted to wish you all a Wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year! I've been pretty busy this last month, with not only getting my own family ready to celebrate Christmas, but also with AFP! I'm hoping that's a sign of what's to come in the new year! So many families have let me photograph them this month and year, it's been such a blessing and a joy to do so! May is Prader Willi Syndrome Awareness Month

May is Prader Willi Syndrome Awareness Month. My friend, Kera's beautiful daughter, Delilah, is a child with this heartbreaking condition. In order to help spread the word and increase awareness about PWS, Kera set up, Delilah's Challenge, a fundraiser to help raise money for The Foundation for Prader-Willi Research. She set up a modest goal, at $500, but as of today, has surpassed that goal by almost $50. They hope to keep raising awareness and raising money this month and beyond.

A dear friend of mine, Jennifer, is the owner and creator of a great children's boutique. Once she heard Delilah and family's story she knew she had to help. I mean we all wish we could do more to help someone right? What if it were our own children? So with those thoughts in mind she decided to use her business to Delilah and her fundraiser's advantage. Jennifer pledged on KiGi's Boutique's Facebook Page that for every one of her "Create Your Own Crochet Bitty Beanies with Matching Crochet Flower" she sells, she will donate $7.00 in your name to Delilah's Challenge. Delilah is fast approaching a year old. Her struggle with this disease is just beginning. Since I met and photographed her at 3 months old, she has changed so much and her progress has been amazing. She has already shown not only her family, but those who know of her story, that she will be a fighter! With the two wonderful, strong, hopeful parents she has and all her extended family behind her, her support and love is great. I hope and pray that in her lifetime a cure can be found.

Hooray It's Here!!!

For months and months now I have procrastinated about putting up and starting a blog for AFP. Today, I don't know, maybe I was bored or wanted a break from editing, but I decided, "What the hay...I'm gonna start that blog." So here it is, here I'll be posting new deals and specials, along with client sneak peeks! Hopefully, I'll find some new clients and friends along the way. Who knows, maybe I'll just end up posting this thing for my own enjoyment, though I hope not!
